Black Hawk and British Inventor

Waves Shape

On Saturday, 23rd August, we completed the first part of the diving programme developed in January.

The two dives were the Black Hawk, southern section of the bows, and a drift dive across the British Inventor.

The weather was hot, without a breeze and the visibility was good.

On both sites we had shoals of bib and other larger fish.

The programme has included diving from Waverider, Skin Deep and various trips to Vobster for training and diving.

A number of our members have been completing their Ocean Diver qualification, refreshing their Sport Diver knowledge and working on their Dive Leader qualifications.

The first diving and training programme consisted of

25th January, Vobster Quay

1st/2nd March, Go Diving Show

8th March, Vobster Quay

16th March, British Inventor and Countess of Erne wrecks, bonus of a seal on the Countess.

Of the sea dives planned, a number were lost due to weather conditions. However, the ones that happened, reinforced the reasons why we are divers.

On the 15th September there will be a diving and training meeting to plan diving for the rest of 2025 and commence planning the 2026 diving programme.
